2022 News Year's Resolutions for the Gym

šŸ”„ 2022 Resolutions - What Are Yours?šŸ”„

With a new year comes new resolutions & fresh motivation. Health and fitness are often featured as key priorities on the list!

Hereā€™s some suggestions I wanted to make to help improve your goalsā€¦

āļø Be realistic - aiming to work out an hour per day every day of the week is often too ambitious especially if youā€™re just starting out. If youā€™re a beginner to the gym aim for 2-3 times per week to start with. Get into a routine and schedule workouts in your diary. Make them non-negotiable!

āļø Focus on your gym goals and your weight goals will follow. Try focussing on a performance goal eg. do a pull up, do 10 full press ups, deadlift 60kg for 10 reps etc. Enjoy the process and celebrate small wins. šŸ‘Š

āļø Break your goals down into bite sized pieces so that they donā€™t seem overwhelming and you can track your progress. This could be as simple as having a workout diary and tracking the weights you lift each workout to make sure youā€™re heading in the right direction. Progress isnā€™t always linear every session remember but overall your strength needs to be improving. If itā€™s not then itā€™s time for a new workout plan!

What are your goals / resolutions this year? Do shareā€¦ šŸ¤”
